  • What is Evermed?

Evermed makes getting and managing your prescription medications as easy as ever! We are an Australian digital health company that offers a real-time e-commerce experience for prescription medication delivery.  We partner with local pharmacies in communities across Australia to dispense medication, and every order is delivered to your door with Australia Post or Doordash.

  • How does Evermed work?

    Upload your prescription

You can upload your prescriptions right from our website. We support eScripts (electronic prescriptions which are emailed or SMS-ed to you by your doctor). Click here to get started.

    Add patient details

Create your account and add patient details. This will ensure medication is priced correctly, and our partner pharmacist can seamlessly dispense your medication.

    Checkout

Add your delivery address and choose your delivery preference. Lastly, pay for your order. You’ll get an email confirmation with delivery details.

    Dispense

Your order is sent to a local community pharmacy to be dispensed. They may get in touch with you if necessary. Your meds are packaged ready for delivery.

    Delivery

Get your meds by dinner time! We support same-day courier delivery in major population centres and Australia Post nationwide. Please make sure someone is home to collect the medication when it is delivered. You can find more details in on the Delivery page. It really is as easy as ever!

  • What types of prescriptions does Evermed support?

Evermed only supports electronic prescriptions. Electronic prescriptions are typically sent to you via email or SMS by your doctor and contain a QR code and an alphanumeric token. You just need to copy the code or link into our website.

Unfortunately we're unable to support paper prescriptions, because regulations require the pharmacist to have the physical prescription before they can dispense medication.

  • How do I upload my prescription to Evermed?

You can upload your prescription here. Just copy/paste the token on your electronic prescription into Evermed, and we'll pull down your prescription details from the prescription exchange.

  • Can I use Evermed to order and manage medications for someone in my care?

Yes! In your Evermed account, you are able to create patient profiles for anyone you care for, so long as they've agreed. You’ll need their prescription, demographic details, and any health card details. You can send the medication right to them by entering their address before you check out.

  • How do I get in contact with Evermed for any questions about my account or an order?

We’d love to hear from you! Please contact our customer service team at service@evermed.com.au. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24hrs.

  • Where are orders dispensed?

Evermed partners with community pharmacies across Australia to dispense orders. When we receive an order, we pass it to the most relevant partner pharmacy to be dispensed, based on the customer's location, stock availability and delivery service required.

Checkout

  • Does Evermed charge more than my local pharmacy?

We work hard to make sure our pricing is competitive. We can guarantee that you’ll never be overpaying for your medication.

When we calculate pricing, we take into account each patient's Medicare status, to ensure the appropriate discount is applied. Concessional patients will never pay more than $7.70 for PBS medication.

We charge a fee for delivery but we provide a discount equivalent to the price of capital city standard post delivery if you have 3 or more prescriptions in your order.

  • How do I order repeats through Evermed?

If your doctor prescribed you a repeat medication, we will store your repeat prescription in our app. Each month we'll send you a reminder in good time to renew your medication. Just log into Evermed, add the medication to your cart and check out.

Delivery

  • What are my delivery options?

    Courier delivery

We partner with Doordash to delivery medications same-day in select areas across Australia. If you live in our same-day delivery area, during the checkout process you can choose the delivery date / time slot to suit your availability. All deliveries need to be received by an adult over the age of 18, and the courier will need to scan your ID into their DoorDash app. For regulatory reasons we are unable to deliver contolled substances by courier.

    Australia Post delivery

We offer standard and express post delivery with Australia Post nationwide. Delivery times to capital cities are usually 1-2 days for express post and 2-4 days for standard delivery. During checkout we'll give you the expected delivery time frame for your address.

    Refrigerated delivery

If your medication is temperature sensitive then instead of Australia Post, you will be able to choose refrigerated delivery, and your medication will be delivered either by a cold-chain delivery courier, or StarTrack premium delivery (maximum 3 days to 99% of the population) with insulated and passively cooled packaging.

  • How much does delivery cost?

Our delivery prices are calculated based on your delivery address. An accurate delivery price is displayed in the checkout flow prior to payment.

For deliveries to capital cities, pricing starts at under $5. We charge more for delivery to regional and rural areas, but less for orders with 3 or more prescriptions. Local courier delivery prices start at $10.95, but may cost more depending on the time of day.

Refrigerated delivery is priced at $27.50.

If controlled substances are included in your order, Australia Post is required by law to collect signature on delivery. We charge an additional $2.95 for this. Some medications also have an additional charge for insurance.

  • Does somebody need to be home to receive the delivery?

    Courier Delivery

In Queensland and Northern Territory, an adult over the age of 18 needs to be available to sign for delivery of medications. The courier will ask for valid government-issued photo ID to verify the recipient's age. They will need to scan your ID into their DoorDash app. If nobody is home, the courier will return the medication back to the pharmacy. In the remaining states, if you are not home, your delivery package will be left at your address if it is safe to do so. However, we highly recommend that you track your delivery and are home to receive it as this ensures a smooth delivery experience.

    Australia Post Delivery

If your order contains controlled substances, Australia Post will need a signature on delivery. If you're not home, the package will be taken to your local post office for you to collect when convenient.

    Refrigerated Delivery

If your order contains temperature sensitive substances, it is very important that you are home to take delivery and store your medication in your fridge immediately.

  • What is the identification verification process for courier delivery?

For courier deliveries in Queensland and Northern Territory, the driver will ask to see valid government-issued photo ID, to verify the medication is being handed to an adult over the age of 18.

All ID must be in its original form (i.e., not photocopies or photos of IDs). Only the following ID will be accepted:

    • Australian State or Territory driver's license;
    • Australian State or Territory learner's permit;
    • Australian passport;
    • Foreign passport; or
    • Proof of age card.

As part of the delivery process, the driver will scan the recipient's ID into their DoorDash app. This ensures there's an audit trail that the medication was handed over to an adult.

If the driver is not able to meet these requirements, the delivery will be returned to the pharmacy. If the medication can be taken back into stock we will refund the cost of medication, but delivery can't be refunded.
